Been keeping busy; just directed/photographed a promo for 2K Games’ upcoming Nintendo Wii release “Carnival Games: Mini-Golf”, whose precursor, “Carnival Games” recently sold its 4 millionth copy. Expect to see the clip online and featured on in-store displays this fall. Also have been shooting content for Videofashion and am rounding third base (would “on the 18th hole” be more apropos?) on a new draft of a feature comedy (I swear, it’s coming along).
Last night I shot the first in a series of 13 video vignettes for the Port Liberte condos in Jersey City. It’s a stunningly gorgeous community overlooking Manhattan; a perfect place to view Fourth of July fireworks.
On June 30th, I shot an interview piece with director Austin Chick (XX/XY) at the Gen Art Cinema Circle screening of his new film AUGUST starring Josh Hartnett, Adam Scott, Naomie Harris and David Bowie. Be sure to check out the film when it opens in NYC on July 11th at the Village Cinema.
Stay tuned for another update next week; I will be traveling to Anchorage, Alaska for an exciting shoot that I can’t wait to tell you all about.
I’m pleased to announce that my feature screenplay, GROCERY CART WONDERMAN is a Quarterfinalist in the Bluecat Screenwriting Competition. This is particularly exciting news considering that the founder of Bluecat is Gordy Hoffman, the screenwriter of LOVE LIZA, a recent favorite of mine. In other screenwriting news, I am firing on all eight on a new draft of my next feature, a decidedly larger scale comedy, which I can’t wait to share with a lucky few of you later this month.
I recently had the opportunity to shoot Usher’s live show at the legendary Apollo theatre in Harlem. Here are some stills. Stay tuned for some big project updates later this month!
Here are some behind the scenes images from Gen Art Styles 2008, where two short videos I produced premiered last night, shot in Broadcast HD. Also included is a little product shot for the Accessories Design winner, Ninaki.
BEARD SCIENCE, a 5 min. short I made with Ben Bolea, Mason Felton-Reid and Kate Trefry will be playing at the Campus Movie Fest NATIONAL GRAND FINALE, Saturday May 3rd at the Hudson Theatre in NYC. It was selected as one of the top 18 films in the nation and could go on to win some exciting prizes. More as it develops!
